  1. Why do they do that? Write an alternate universe? It was all a dream? Pretend it never happened?

    All the really GOOD stuff happens when you take what IS and build on it.

    Tell me how many of us really want to know the back-story … tell me again, ma … tell me about the time Kirk and Spock met for the first time …

    • I hear ya, Sparky. I shook my head in sadness, too. (What I would have given for a DS9 movie instead.) But you know why they did it: because a whole lot of unthinking people just like their movies with throwaway lines, supermodel actors, and shit that blows up real good.
